Only engage in this battle if it is desired to recruit Razzly as a party member.Įlement Grid Doppelgang The Wingapedes moves do relatively low damage, so the fight should be fairly simply. AcidicGas is cast occasionally as a counter when the Wingapede is provoked by the party casting Elements on it. Once in the battle, this flying centipede will cast PoisonGas, attemping to whittle away the party's Hit Points through the move's Status Effect of Poison. Accompanying this, Wingapedes sport two strong Green Elements, PoisonGas and AcidicGas. Wingapedes come equipped with basic physical attacks, which allow them to soar up and dart into a single opponent. If this is done in the Save Kid route however, Razzly won't be able to join the party, as she must be recruited before the Hydra has been defeated. Note that while this boss can be captured by Sprigg or a character equipped with the Forget-Me-Not Pot for use in her Doppelgang ability, this boss is only able to be fought once per playthrough, as it does not appear in the Bend of Time, so if you wish to capture it on your first playthrough, you will have to avoid fighting it until you either get Sprigg or the Forget-Me-Not Pot. In this room, Razzly is kept prisoner in a cage by the Pentapus. When defeated, the floor of the calling pad crumbles, sending the party pummeling down into a secret room. Should Serge not have a sample of Ancient Fruit, the summoned Wingapede engages the party in battle. Upon calling it, it flies the party to Gaea's Navel. It is a massive dragonfly which can be called with the Beeba Flute and Ancient Fruit near the summit of Hydra Marshes. The Wingapede is an optional boss fought in Chrono Cross.
